Conceived as a follow-up book to The Weaker Side (Dom Famularo and Stephane Chamberland) and Accents and Rebounds (George Lawrence Stone), Accenting the Weaker Side provides an intensive one-year program to build strength with the weaker hand/foot. All great drummers have one thing in common: they play relaxed with both hands and feet. The predecessor to this book, The Weaker Side, is about developing your weaker hand and foot to give you more balance and control. Accenting the Weaker Side adds another level of dimension of movement that will challenge you and test your level of control. The accents in the book are played following the code of movements presented in Accents and Rebounds. Designed to be played first on pad or snare, the rhythms can also be orchestrated around the drums.
